I have not contacted you for some time because I went home for Chinese Spring
Festival. I came back to Tsinghua University on March 1. Before I went home,
I got an offer from ******. Yesterday I received letters of Financial Aid
from the Director, Prof.
****, and the I-20 form from the Office of Admissions. I got lots of help
from you during the whole process, Thank you very much.
However, I'm really sorry to tell you that I decided not to attend your
school. I have been hesitating among **** and ****** for the whole Chinese
Spring Festival, and it's really hard to reach such a decision. My former
teachers and my family were
involved in the decision.I'm sorry I can't inform you earlier. I hope you
can find another better student.
I enjoy our contacts and like your research very much. Also the financial
support from your school is fully adequate. You're clearly an outstanding
advisor with bright future. It's really a pity I can't join you this fall. I
really hope you will
forgive me for my change of mind, and I sincerely hope this will not cause
too much inconvenience to you. If I have a chance to meet you in US in the
future, I will always regard you as my mentor.
