* Developed an on-line indoor air quality monitoring, fault detection
and isolation system
* Developed a 3-D computer model of the convective-diffusive transport
process
* Discovered a novel Implicit Kalman filtering method
* Developed and implemented a source function isolation method, which is
based on the transformation of the initial problem into an optimal
control problem
* Designed a neural network based system for the contaminant source
localization through pattern recognition of the source effects
* Supervised the independent research program of one undergraduate

* Purchased, installed and maintained a 10/88-12/91 Senior Researcher,
Kiev Polytechnic Institute (Ukraine), Department of Mathematical

* Developed methods/software for optimal location of
sensors/actuators in distributed parameter systems. Application

to the state and parameter estimation and optimal control.
